This site has been developed to help keep you in touch with my work at Westminster and in my constituency. You can find out the latest news from my office and find out what Government policies mean for the people of Stretford and Urmston. It has been my great privilege to represent my home constituency since 1997. When you elected me I promised to do my best for our area and work hard for your priorities - jobs, crime, education, health and a fairer society. Since then, our constituency has become a better place to live and work. Unemployment is down, inflation is low, public services are improving and the streets are safer. There's a lot more to do, I know, but we are going in the right direction, opening opportunities, becoming a fairer and socially just society.
